When the answers come how can we trust what arises? How do we know it is not some story we are telling ourselves to justify something we fear doing or regret having done?
We can learn to reflect on what arises and trust our knowing.
Reflect on whether the answer feels right – more than whether it initially feels good. For example, an answer may come that you need speak honestly to someone who has hurt you and you know in your heart this is right, but you don’t feel good because you initially feel afraid to do so. Growth can be uncomfortable. Trust your knowing.
Reflect on whether the answers that arise are good for you and others. If not, keep asking for guidance…
Reflect on whether the answers get you closer to a place where you feel greater freedom to receive and give love. If so, you are being guided along a path of healing…
Again, this framework is not linear. While framing questions may invite knowing answers, knowing may seed new questions and arise in the absence of any questions asked.
